Refund & Cancellation Policy

Last updated: [Oct 2026]

We want you to have a great experience with Lone Star Line Dance. When you book a class or event with us, your place is reserved specifically for you, so please make sure you are able to attend before booking.

Class bookings

Bookings are non-refundable once payment has been made, except where a refund is required by law or in the circumstances described below.

If you are unable to attend a class, we are normally unable to offer a refund or transfer your booking to another date.

Injury

If you are unable to attend because of an injury that occurs after booking, please contact us as soon as possible.

At our discretion, we may offer a refund or transfer your booking to another suitable class. We may ask for reasonable information about the injury where necessary.

Illness or other circumstances

Unfortunately, refunds are not normally available if you are unable to attend because of illness, holidays, work commitments, transport problems, change of plans or other personal circumstances.

However, please contact us as soon as possible if something unexpected happens and we will consider your circumstances.

Private events

Private event bookings are made specifically for your chosen date and time.

Once a private event has been confirmed and payment has been made, payments are generally non-refundable.

If you need to cancel or change your private event, please contact us as soon as possible and we will discuss what options may be available.

Any refund or cancellation rights that apply by law will continue to apply.

If Lone Star Line Dance has to cancel

If we have to cancel a class or event and cannot offer a suitable alternative, we will provide a refund for the affected booking.

We will contact you as soon as reasonably possible if this happens.

Your statutory rights

Nothing in this Refund & Cancellation Policy affects your legal rights as a consumer.

Our services will be provided in accordance with applicable UK consumer law. Where the law gives you a right to a refund, cancellation, repeat performance or other remedy, this policy does not remove that right.

If you have any questions about a booking or refund, please contact us at:

Physical Activity & Participant Safety

Line dancing is a physical activity and, like any form of exercise or dancing, carries a degree of risk of injury.

By taking part in a Lone Star Line Dance class or event, you acknowledge that you are participating in a physical activity and do so with an understanding of the normal risks involved. These may include muscle strains, sprains, trips, slips, falls or other injuries.

We encourage everyone to:

  • Work at a level that is comfortable for them.

  • Listen to their body and take breaks whenever needed.

  • Wear suitable, comfortable clothing and footwear.

  • Let the instructor know if they have an injury, medical condition or other limitation that may affect their ability to participate.

  • Stop dancing if they feel unwell, dizzy, in pain or otherwise unable to continue.

  • Take reasonable care of themselves and those around them during the class.

You do not need to be an experienced dancer or particularly fit to take part. Our classes are designed to be enjoyable and accessible to different levels of ability, and participants should work at their own pace.

If you have any concerns about whether line dancing is suitable for you, particularly if you have an existing medical condition or injury, you should seek appropriate medical advice before participating.

Participation at your own risk

Participants take part voluntarily and accept the ordinary risks associated with physical activity and dancing.

Nothing in this notice excludes or limits any liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited under UK law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or any other statutory rights you may have.
